Greenfriday, why do we say No to Black Friday?
For the MuralConcept team and a large number of other retailers involved in environmental protection, Black Friday is the symbol of hyper-consumption and great waste.
Why do we say NO to Black Friday?
Black Friday is a pure consumerist tradition straight out of the United States, a period of global sell-off, when consumers (and retailers) are under pressure to buy (or have bought) as many products as possible in a very short space of time. Frenzy often wins out over reason, landfill sites overflow, the planet suffers... Little by little, buyers lose sight of prices, which no longer mean anything. Isn't it hypocritical to lower prices on the one hand, only to raise them later? Wouldn't it be better to offer a fair price all year round? Aren't sales periods already enough to stimulate sales in off-peak periods?
As you can see, we've chosen not to encourage this event, preferring to offer our customers fair prices all year round. Consuming means voting. With responsible brands and reasoned purchasing, the planet will be all the better for it :-)
Beautiful day to you,
The MuralConcept team
